What Tattoo Should You Get?

Ever thinking of getting a tattoo ? If yes, what type of tattoo do you wish to have ? Flower, bird, skeleton skull, wordings, animal, dragon, portrait, or others?

I like tattoo.  I consider it as a different form of art presentation.
There's always a story (no matter happy or sad) behind each tattoo.
I used to have temporary tattoos so as I could always change the design of the tattoos as and when I like.
It is difficult to find many tattoo shops here in Singapore, and the "workmanship" is not that excellent to me.
I have found the tattoo shop which I use
d to go (excellent design and skill) in Hong Kong, and will be going there on my next visit to Hong Kong. :)

Marzipan Babies ?

2 years ago, when I first looked at these pictures, I was so shocked or rather impressed by these cute little things.  Really amazing and  unbelievable ! They look so real to me.

Initially it was widespread to be made of Marzipan (an almond and sugar paste used to ice cakes and other pastries or sculpted into a variety of shapes to be eaten as candy or used as cake decorations). yeee~ human babies are not something we usually consider to be a visually appealing form for edibles.

Fortunately, at a later stage, it has been clarified that they are not made of marzipan, nor are they edible.  They are 2- to 5-inch sculptures, created by artist Camille Allen,  made from Prosculpt polymer clay and mohair.

Don't you think they are cute and adorable?

Picture Perfect - Around The World

Picture Perfect 2008/#04
Theme : Around The World
Camera : Canon PowerShot S5 IS
Date Taken : 2008 Jan

Picture taken at the lift lobby of the flat where I am staying now. The sign / information board above the lift is printed in 4 different languages, which is very common in Singapore as a multi-racial country. Notice that there is also a warning sign for smoking and urinating in the lift are prohibited.

Singapore - Malay: Singapura; Chinese: 新加坡; Tamil: சிங்கப்பூர
is an island nation located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula.Singapore is a mixture of an indigenous Malay population with a third generation Chinese majority, as well as Indian and Arab immigrants with some intermarriages.  There also exist significant Eurasian and Peranakan (known as "Straits Chinese") communities.

The national language of Singapore is Malay for historical reasons, and it is used in the national anthem, "Majulah Singapura".
The official languages are English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil.  English has been promoted as the country's language of administration since independence.
Public signs and official publications are in English, although there are translated  versions in other official languages.

Singapore is also known locally as a "fine city".
There's a fine of S$500 for smoking in public places such as cinemas, trains, lifts, air-conditioned restaurants and shopping malls.
Littering carries a S$1000 fine, with offenders forced to do litter-picking duty.
Eating or drinking on the MRT (Mass Rapid Transport) could cost you a S$500.
Other fines include those for urinating in lifts (some lifts are fitted with urine detectors), not flushing a public toilet and chewing gum, which is outlawed in Singapore.

Picture Perfect - Contrast

Picture Perfect 2008/#03
Theme : Contrast
 Camera : Canon IXUS I
Date Taken : 2005 Mar

I was having flu and felt so tired and restless for the whole week, thus thought of skipping this week PPF.   BUT…I just couldn’t resist the FUN that PPF had brought to me…So, crawled out from my bed, searched the picture and posted it onto PPF at this last minute.

The mushroom on the left (smaller) was the usual normal-size mushroom with diameter about 3 cm.  The Gigantic Monster beside it, with about 12cm diameter, was n times bigger than the normal mushroom.  The monster also required a very long cooking time in order to absorb the tasty gravy and became real yummy. :)

What's DreamzOnForever's Hidden Meaning?

Have you ever wondering what's the actual hidden meaning of your name ?

I have read lilangelwolf's blog regarding the topic "What's Your Name's Hidden Meaning?"

Seems to be quite interesting, thus took the test.  I have supplied my name "DreamzOnForever" for the test.  Surprisingly, some of the points (in yellow) mentioned really described my character very well.  Below is the test result to let you know more about who I am...  and thanks to lilangelwolf for sharing the fun.

***What DreamzOnForever Means***

You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.

You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.

You definitely have a dominant personality.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you.

You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!

You are incredibly wise and perceptive. You have a lot of life experience.

You are a natural peacemaker, and you are especially good at helping others get along. But keeping the peace in your own life is not easy. You see things very differently, and it's hard to get you to budge.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.

You are solid and dependable.

You are loyal, and people can count on you.

At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You are loving, compassionate, and ruled by your feelings.

You are able to be a foundation for other people... but you still know how to have fun.

Sometimes your emotions weigh you down, but you generally feel free from them.

Right Brain Vs Left Brain

Being creative or artistic doesn’t mean you know how to draw or play an instrument. Being creative is a way of thinking, a way of viewing the world.

The Brain Type Test is based on the various characteristics associated specifically with each hemisphere of the brain. This test produces results unique to each individual's own left and right hemispheres. Many of the methods used here were pioneered by Dr. Roger Sperry's research on brain lateralization, for which he won a Nobel Prize in 1981.

I have taken the test and I am more Right-brained than Left-brained.

Try out the brain test to see if your brain is right or left dominant and how creative you are, whether you are more right-brained or left-brained and have fun.

Picture Perfect - A Song Title

 Picture Perfect 2008/#02
Theme : A Song Title
Camera : Canon IXUS I
Date Taken : 2008 Jan

Just wanted to have something common that everyone knows and yet unusual.  Thus chosen everyone's Good Friend - Money!
I used to travel to various countries to work.  Thus ended up with a lot of leftover dollar notes and coins from the various countries, which I was too lazy to convert them back to local currency.
Took the picture using my Sony Ericsson P1i handphone as my Canon ixus camera not functioning well.

Money, Money, Money
ABBA
I work all night, I work all day, to pay the bills I have to pay
Ain't it sad
And still there never seems to be a single penny left for me
That's too bad
In my dreams I have a plan
If I got me a wealthy man
I wouldn't have to work at all, I'd fool around and have a ball...

Money, money, money, Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money, Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world

A man like that is hard to find but I cant get him off my mind
Ain't it sad
And if he happens to be free I bet he wouldn't fancy me
That's too bad
So I must leave, I'll have to go
To las vegas or monaco
And win a fortune in a game, my life will never be the same...

Money, money, money, Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money, Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world

Money, money, money, Must be funny
In the rich mans world
Money, money, money, Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world

It's a rich mans world

George Carlin's Views on Aging

Read this some time ago and find that it is absolutely brilliant !  Thus would like to share this with everyone I know or yet to know.  We all need to live life to its  fullest each day !

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids?
If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions.

'How old are you?' 'I'm four and a half!'  You're never thirty-six and a half.  You're four and a half, going on five!  That's the key.

You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back.  You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.
'How old are you?' 'I'm gonna be 16!'  You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16!  And then the greatest day of your life.  You become 21.  Even the words sound like a ceremony.  YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!

But then you turn 30.  Oooohh, what happened there?  Makes you sound like bad milk!  He TURNED; we had to throw him out.  There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling.  What's wrong? What's changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40.  Whoa!  Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away.  Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.

But wait!!!  You MAKE it to 60.  You didn't think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70!  After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80's and every day is a complete cycle;  you HIT lunch;  you TURN 4:30;  you REACH bedtime.  And it doesn't end there.   Into the 90s, you start going backwards;  'I Was JUST 92.'

Then a strange thing happens.  If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again.  'I'm 100 and a half!'
May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

How To Stay Young

Throw out non-essential numbers

This includes age, weight and height.  Let the doctors worry about them.  That is why you pay them.

Keep only cheerful friends
The grouches pull you down.

Keep learning
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.  Never let the brain idle.  'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'  And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

Enjoy the simple things

Laugh often, long and loud
Laugh until you gasp for breath.

The tears happen
Endure, grieve, and move on.  The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.  Be ALIVE while you are alive.

Surround yourself with what you love
Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.  Your home is your refuge.

Cherish your health
If it is good, preserve it.  If it is unstable, improve it.  If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

Don't take guilt trips
Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
