Picture Perfect 2008/#03
Theme : Contrast
Camera : Canon IXUS I
Date Taken : 2005 Mar
I was having flu and felt so tired and restless for the whole week, thus thought of skipping this week PPF. BUT…I just couldn’t resist the FUN that PPF had brought to me…So, crawled out from my bed, searched the picture and posted it onto PPF at this last minute.
The mushroom on the left (smaller) was the usual normal-size mushroom with diameter about 3 cm. The Gigantic Monster beside it, with about 12cm diameter, was n times bigger than the normal mushroom. The monster also required a very long cooking time in order to absorb the tasty gravy and became real yummy. :)
LOL That is a contrast in size. I love mushrooms.

Me too, the biggest mushroom I have ever seen, That's why I quickly took a shot of it when I got it that time.
ReplyDeleteNo, the normal ones are those smaller in size mushrooms. Rarely see such big mushroom around.
I braised it with some sauce and chicken stock for few hours till it absorbed all the flavor. I ate it as thoiugh eating the steak, hahah~ real juicy and tasty ! yummy !

ReplyDeleteshrooms huh? yep...those make anyone feel better! lol... (not a mushroom fan here but hey... whatever works!!!) Cool shot! Feel Better! HUGS!
ReplyDeletelol~, no, Barb, they are not turtles, they are mushrooms, kind of gilled fungi usually produced above ground on soil or on their food source.
ReplyDeleteNot sure exactly what kind, we usually call them them as fragrant/winter mushrooms, probably can be classified as Shiitake.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what kind they are, most important, they are edible mushrooms. lol~
Wow, now that is a meal of a mushroom!!! Great idea for contrast!!!! Hope you're feeling better!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought they were turtles too. As mushrooms, they look delicious.
