Picture Perfect - Reflections

 Picture Perfect 2008/#01
Theme : Reflections
Camera : Canon IXUS I
Date Taken : 2007 Sep

This picture was taken last Sep when I went to The Netherlands.
I have rotated the picture and placed it beside the original to have a fun view

When looking at the picture, I have been wondering where did the street lamp come from and where did the 3 cars disappear to?

  1. Neat picture. The cars don't show because of the angle between the street and the water. It is too much. If you will look closely you will see that the reflection starts about 1/3 of the way up the windows of the buildings.

  2. I think they are too far reach from the river dear since the cars were on the other side of the road .. or ?
Great taking on the theme, I LOVE it, awesome shot you have there ;o)

  3. Beautiful shot, Dreamz. You seem to have confused yourself while having fun... it's all about angles as mentioned already above. Netherlands is another place I'd like to visit one day.

  4. Btw... I will be taking this week off from PPF. I posted a blog similar to this theme already here on Multiply. Here's the link if you'd like to visit it.

  5. Er - I can see the cars. I can also see the reflection of the street lamp. But it's true there's no reflection of the cars, for reason stated above.
    Hehe - funny.

  7. The cars are still there...they are just upside down in the pic on the right. When you rotated it the pic not only reversed but it turned upside down. I like the way you presented them.

  8. Good picture! If you don't mind the cars, the photo on the right could be the original photo as well...

  11. Oddly enough, I can see all three cars and the street lamp in both picture, just reversed top-to-bottom. Great photo, and so much fun to see them "mirrored".

  15. Very cool to see it flipped! The lamp I think I've got, the cars? eh....??

  16. The cars are in the canal! The street lamp is hiding in the darkness of the buildings at the angle the picture was taken, and only shows in the reflection.
This is a great take on the theme, and you made it fun for all of us with a little mystery thrown in!

  17. Mystery reflections make the eye play tricks. I see the inversion and the cars.

  22. The picture itself is very nice =) I also love ALL the reflection; left to right, upside down. I was confused with the cars and streetlamp at first too ~ then looked a little closer. This was fun!
Thanks for commenting on mine too =)

  24. I've ridden the tour boats in the canals of Amsterdam. It's a gorgeous city. So much of life there revolves the water.

  28. Oh this is super! What a clever way of displaying and that water is so smooth, you'd never know which is the water and which is sky.

  29. I love these! I have a similar shot of a pond...upsidedown looks the same. Actually, the bottom of the pond makes it look like clouds when turned. The quiet, stillness is just breathtaking! Thanks! :)
