This is one of the books which I continue reading for hours till end without stopping.
A story of far beyond lifetime relationship of a mother and a son.
The mother raises her son as a divorced woman in the 1960’s. Her son, Charley, never really appreciates her sacrifices, spending much of his life chasing the elusive love of his father, who left when Charley was 11.
Years later, Charley, a middle-aged alcoholic whose family and work life have disintegrated. He loses his job. He hits bottom after discovering his only daughter has shut him out of her wedding. He decides to take his own life, until the “one more day” encounter with his mother's ghost, brings him new awareness and leads him to attempt to put his life back together.
