This was the first Eva Cassidy CD which I bought. A live solo album in 1996. Songs were recorded during her performances in the Blues Alley.
Eva Marie Cassidy (February 2, 1963 – November 2, 1996) was an American vocalist known for her reinterpretations of jazz, blues, folk, gospel and pop classics.
I like the way she sing "Tall Tress in Georgia" and "Field of Golds". Sting's and Eva's renditions of the "Field of Golds" are so different, one's so masculine and the other more feminine, but each is superb in its own way, but both are equally emotional.
