只要有爱心，幸福自然來

星期三那天晚上七时至九时，电台1003早班节目“不给一口叮”，因荣获omy主办的“2007广播大赏”中的“最佳节目时段”，在D’ Lemon Three （泰）餐馆举办了一个庆功活动。庆功活动不忘慈善。出席者无需付费就可以享用自助餐。出席者可以自行捐献给雅西西慈怀病院（Assisi Home & Hospice ）。

谁能出席这场有意义的活动呢？听众只需传简讯祝贺与写出为什么喜欢收听这节目而被选中，就有机会出席这场名额有限（二十五位各可带一个朋友）的活动了。

我没被选中有许多原因，因为。。。（这已不重要了）。因我目的只想捐款做善事，出席活动享受美食只是其次，所以没被选中，无机会出席不打紧。

那晚放工后，七点半专程到达那餐馆把支票给投进那慈善捐款箱，正想离开，没料到被他们邀请留下来共进晚餐，参加活动。因有些听众缺席，还有空位。我不好意思，一再拒绝，但最终还是被他们的热情真诚感动而留下来。可怜有几位工作人员没位子坐。
 

当晚我感到很高兴很快乐，不是因为有的吃，而是一切所发生的状况，又再次坚定了我继续行善的原则与推动力。
 

付出的时候不要想著收获，因为在收获的同时会有更大的感动。

只要努力的活着，无怨无悔的付出，不要想着有所收获。因即使不能获得永恒的幸福感，至少在内心仍有着无私的幸福。

得与失，获得与付出，求心之所安。

For many people, this theme might be too easy for them, but definitely it is not that easy to me.  Initially, thought of skipping this week theme, but finally I decided to go for it, thus, so sorry at this real last minute.

 

Nowadays,
We have Bigger Houses, but Smaller Families.
We have Finer Houses, but Broken Homes.
We can buy Beautiful Houses, but not Loving Homes.

I don't have a House where my Home belongs.
I am just staying at somewhere I can put my belongings and take a rest.
I don't have a Home able to keep me in the House. I am just staying with someone very close to me yet feel so far.
I used to be a latchkey kid, an instant noodle kid.
I am not close to my parents, we don't talk, we just nod.
I am not close to my brothers, we don't talk, we quarrel.
For many years, I hardly speak more than a thousand sentences each year, as I think I have lost the technique of pouring words from my mouth.

I don’t have a House which I consider as a House
I don’t have a Home which I consider as a Home
Thus I can’t show you my Beautiful House
And I can't show you my Loving Home
What I can show you, is my Key to My Dreamland House
To Unlock the Happiness n Build Dreams of My Own

I used to have temporary tattoos so as I could always change the design of the tattoos as and when I like.
It is difficult to find many tattoo shops here in Singapore, and the "workmanship" is not that excellent to me.
I have found the tattoo shop which I used to go (excellent design and skill) in Hong Kong, and will be going there on my next visit to Hong Kong. :)

Marzipan Babies ?

2 years ago, when I first looked at these pictures, I was so shocked or rather impressed by these cute little things.  Really amazing and  unbelievable ! They look so real to me.

Initially it was widespread to be made of Marzipan (an almond and sugar paste used to ice cakes and other pastries or sculpted into a variety of shapes to be eaten as candy or used as cake decorations). yeee~ human babies are not something we usually consider to be a visually appealing form for edibles.

Fortunately, at a later stage, it has been clarified that they are not made of marzipan, nor are they edible.  They are 2- to 5-inch sculptures, created by artist Camille Allen,  made from Prosculpt polymer clay and mohair.

Picture taken at the lift lobby of the flat where I am staying now. The sign / information board above the lift is printed in 4 different languages, which is very common in Singapore as a multi-racial country. Notice that there is also a warning sign for smoking and urinating in the lift are prohibited.

 

 

 
Singapore - Malay: Singapura; Chinese: 新加坡; Tamil: சிங்கப்பூர is an island nation located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula.Singapore is a mixture of an indigenous Malay population with a third generation Chinese majority, as well as Indian and Arab immigrants with some intermarriages.  There also exist significant Eurasian and Peranakan (known as "Straits Chinese") communities.
